We are offering
A role to develop and maintain the partnership and the main interfaces between the Stena AB Business Units and Group IT to ensure strategic alignment. Together with your co-workers you will work closely with Business Units and Group IT delivery teams to identify Business Technology advancements, digitalization opportunities generate ideas and transform them into IT requirements and projects.

In this role you are responsible for establishing and developing the function and the demand process to ensure that your team always are he strategic Business Technology partner for all Business Units. The BE &PM function is the ambassador function for Group IT towards all business units in Stena AB. As such, the function must take ownership of all customer demands and concerns, but also have the integrity to push back on demands that lack information or are based on emotions rather than facts.

To enjoy this role, you need to be leading person with a capability like management consulting, provide structure is work methods and be able to prioritize and be flexible, when required. You will report to CIO and be a part of the Group IT Leadership Team.


About the Business Engagement and Project Management function 
The functions responsibility is to ensure transparency of IT projects, services and costs and optimize IT delivery by aligning architecture, security, delivery models and procurement for new initiatives and existing services. 

The Business Engagement capability needs to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and business unit leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs, and can respond with agility to changing business priorities. Uses influencing and negotiation skills to create synergies across the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and business partners to define and execute the digital business strategy. Participate in and contributes to the assessment of external digital opportunities and threats, and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning.
  • Maintain currency on new technologies and platforms and provide direction on what emerging technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the enterprise to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise's digital business strategy. Provides strategic direction in the IT organization's innovation efforts and role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of those opportunities in the fulfilment of the digital business strategy of the enterprise.


The Project Management capability needs to:

  • Manage the delivery of Business Technology projects including ensuring that agreed projects are completed on time, to budget and that all projects follow agreed processes
  • Utilize fit for purpose methodologies for the business change e.g. waterfall or agile methods as appropriate
  • Collaborate and manage internal as well as external delivery resources which require significant managerial skill and extensive experience in project management.  
  • Support the resource acquisition and allocation process to guarantee project success and efficiency.

About you
You have strong communication capabilities and have strategic perspective in your dialogs externally as well as internally within Group IT. You enjoy working with people and find it interesting to meet with various business units and is a natural networker. You should appreciate the diversity in your work and that you have a business focus in everything you do.

We believe that you are a leader who knows how to lead a typical management consulting practice with both specialists and generalists. Your leadership is not about managing others as much as it is to support and encourage the employees to take their own responsibility and act in a strategic direction. 

A priority trait is a strong commitment and delivery focus with a high integrity, therefore the qualifications below is high prioritized for us:  

  • University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related discipline
  • +10 years of increasingly responsible experience in management position
  • +5 years experience from IT demand management and business process development
  • +3 years experience from C-level relationships
  • Proven track record in business change projects, business process development and in realizing business value from IT
  • Experience in leading people, including line management, across geographies
  • Fluent in English and Swedish with exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills
