We are looking for an experienced Commercial Operator to join our team in Hellerup.
About the position
You will be part of a team that ensures the safe and efficient operations of our global fleet of Product & Chemical Tankers. We operate our fleet from several global offices, optimizing cargo operations, port rotations & vessel performance in close co-operation with Captains, agents, chartering & operational personnel. Furthermore, you will work on stowage plans, provide tank cleaning guidance, plan bunkering etc. You will also nominate agents, coordinate port operations, and also process port DAs and bunkering invoices and prepare final voyage calculations and evaluations.
- Close personal contact with Masters, port agents, vetting departments and other related stakeholders world-wide.
- Operate, manage and optimize results for a number of vessels
- Execute voyages according to agreed terms
- Ensure optimal operations by seeing opportunities to optimize costs & time.
- Issue invoices and collect payments
About the team
You will be part of a closely knit team who value high performance and team-work but who also know the importance of having fun along the way. You will report to the Manager, Commercial Operations WW.
What we expect
You must have a shipping background and a minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial operational experience, as you will operate your own fleet of vessels from the beginning. Sea-going experience is desirable, as is an analytical, detail-oriented and systematic work ethic, coupled with a service-minded approached.
On a personal level you must be a team player with the ability to cooperate cross-culturally and with strong coordination skills. Your personal foundation is based on being energetic, proactive and persistent. You are comfortable in an ever-changing commercial environment, and are able to prioritize tasks quickly.
You are also always willing to offer a helping hand and have a passion and interest in creating and continuously optimizing solutions. Travel is expected, but is definitely not a large component of this role.
